RISK/Gang Prevention

RISK/Gang Prevention is a set of services designed to reach youths and their families who are at-risk of involvement in or are involved in gang activities, violence, illegal acts and/or other related activities.

The purpose of the program is to expand current services that are available to youths and their families in order to set the foundation for a community-based, comprehensive, nonviolent/gang prevention approach. Local community centers, religious organizations, apartment complexes, recreational and service providers also form a vital component of this network. Components of this program include education, intervention, stabilization, and empowerment.
