Energy Services
Services related to these programs include Energy Conservation classes, weatherization of homes, minor energy related repairs, repair or installation of furnaces and air conditioners when documented by a physician as medically necessary. Individuals applying for assistance at our main office are encouraged to attend an Energy Conservation class. Required LIHEAP Documentation:
Winter Heating AssistanceHouseholds with a member that is 60 years old or older or with a member who is disabled (including children) can apply for LIHEAP assistance beginning October 1, 2016. Applications for all others will be accepted beginning November 1, 2016. Basic energy grants are available until March 31, 2017. If funding is available, emergency crisis assistance grants may be available until May 31, 2017. Summer Cooling AssistanceCAASTLC’s summer cooling assistance begins on June 1, 2017 for mailed and faxed applications. Our summer program assists with electric bills. You must have a disconnection notice or services must be off to be considered for assistance.
