REENTRY EMPLOYMENT & ENTREPRENEURSHIP SUPPORT

MAKIN' IT WORK

The Makin’ It Work curriculum is taught to offenders in the St. Louis County Justice Center 3 nights per week. The program deals with a gamut of issues including anger management, thinking traps, employer expectations and conflict resolution. Upon release, clients are referred to take advantage of CAASTLC’s anger management, drug counseling, employment readiness programs, and counseling services at the agency.

If someone did not participate in the Makin’ It Work classes, he/she can still participate in our Prisoner Reentry services. Each individual enrolled in programming will receive an intake to assess their needs. From there, their case manager will assist them with both internal and external referrals to help meet those needs. Individuals receive incentives and free materials to help with their transition throughout the program.

Are you a family member of an individual who is or was recently incarcerated? CAASTLC has services for you too. For more information on the Prisoner Reentry Program, contact Stewart McClain at (314) 446-4415 or via email at smcclain@caastlc.org.
